Jason Dennard (JD) joined Florida State University in 2003 and has served in various roles over his near 20-years at FSU. His first role was with Host Communications inside the FSU athletic department where he served as the day-to-day contact for marketing Florida State baseball, volleyball and game director for football. He also served a significant role in partnership fulfillment with the sponsorship team.
Jason was quickly promoted twice within the first three years to Assistant Director of Promotions and then to Director of Promotions where he continued to make a significant impact with Host Communications, ISP Sports, IMG College and Florida State University. He also assumed the role of marketing director for Florida State football and for providing marketing direction for all 19 sports
By 2006 Jason once again continued his progression inside the athletic department as he was named Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing. During this time Jason took over administrative oversight of Multi-Media Rights (MMR) activities in addition to leading Florida State’s marketing efforts. Under his leadership, Seminole Sports Marketing was awarded 22 different NACMA “Best Of” awards for excellence in sports marketing. It was also during this time he established a new tradition for Florida State Football in the ever popular “Friday Night Block Party” that is still going strong today.
Dennard was elevated again in 2015 to the new role of Associate Athletics Director for Marketing and New Revenue. He was named the administrative oversight for Seminole Productions and led the university’s efforts in establishing the ACC Network in Tallahassee. He remains very involved in the day-to-day relationship with top university partners Coca-Cola, ESPN, Learfield, Fanatics, REVELxp and Paciolan. Jason is the administrative oversight for baseball, cheerleading and the Golden Girls. He led Florida State’s efforts into the entertainment world once again by creating the Doak After Dark concert series, which has seen the hiring of acts such as Blake Shelton, Old Dominion, T-Pain, and many more, as well as the Friday Night Block Party.
Prior to coming to Florida State Jason spent two years at Georgia Tech as Assistant Marketing Manager.
Jason is a graduate of Florida State University with a master’s degree in Integrated Marketing and Management Communications and holds a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Kennesaw State University.
Jason and his wife Michelle reside here in Tallahassee with their son Evan. Jason is active in the community, as he spends his free time as a volunteer coach at Chaires Little League and has been an active contributor to the Big Brother / Big Sister program for many years.
