
Julia Giampaolo French joined the Florida State Athletic Department in 2014. She spent two years as the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Men’s Tennis team before being elevated to a full-time position. She joined the volleyball program in 2016 and spent five seasons as their athletic trainer. She was a part of the highest ranked win in program history for both the tennis and volleyball team. In 2021, Giampaolo French became the Administrative Coordinator for the Sports Medicine Department.
Prior to her arrival at Florida State, Giampaolo French earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a major in Athletic Training from the University of Miami. She was a four-year member of the Women’s Volleyball team and became the first student-athlete in the history of the institution to earn this degree. In 2013, she was awarded a summer internship with the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun. She earned a Master of Science degree in Sports Management from Florida State.
Giampaolo French is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, a licensed Athletic Trainer in the State of Florida, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Giampaolo French and her husband, Andre, are natives of Torrington, Connecticut. They have one son.
