Justin Jacobs

Justin Jacobs is Florida State Athletics’ Director of Information Technology. This is his 3rd year serving in this role.

As the Director of Information Technology, Jacobs acts as administrative leadership for the Information Technology department and its staff.  His responsibilities include providing oversight of all Information Technology projects and strategic planning regarding the implementation and use of technology within the department.  Jacobs determines departmental policies and procedures as they relate to Information Technology and acts as a liaison between FSU Athletics and the various technology service providers who work with the university.

He also acts as the PCI-DSS coordinator and primary contact with Florida State’s Information Privacy and Security Office for developing and implementing policies and procedures for ensuring a secure environment for coaches, staff, and fans.

Jacobs is a graduate of West Virginia University. He was previously a Systems Administrator for WVU Athletics where he focused on access management, endpoint deployment and security, and mobile device management.

He resides in Tallahassee with his wife Erin and their son Leoben.
