RALEIGH, N.C. – Florida State and NC State will square off in a Sunday doubleheader from Doak Field at Dail Park, with the first game set for 12 noon and the series finale beginning 40 minutes after the completion of the opening game.

Saturday night’s single game was initially delayed, then rescheduled as rain continued to fall with more expected later into the evening.

The sixth-ranked Seminoles (38-12, 17-8 ACC) opened the series with a 9-4 win Friday night as Sean Gilmartin picked up his 30th career victory, which gave him sole possession of 10th place on the school’s all-time wins list. Rafael Lopez homered twice and drove in three runs, while Daniel Bennett worked the final 1.2 innings for his 10th save.

FSU junior right-hander Hunter Scantling will start Sunday’s opening game, with senior right-hander Mike McGee set to take the mound in the series finale. The Seminoles hold a 2 ½-game lead in the ACC’s Atlantic Division following Clemson’s doubleheader sweep of Virginia Tech on Saturday.

NC State (28-12, 11-14) will counter with right-hander Cory Mazzoni as the starter in the opening game. The Wolfpack have not decided on a starting pitcher for the night-cap.
