**UPDATE: Friday, March 7 at 11:15 a.m.** Due to inclement weather in the Tallahassee area, the FSU Invitational schedule has been pushed back to Saturday & Sunday. All of Friday’s games will be played on Saturday and all of Saturday’s games will be played on Sunday. 850-645-GAME will be updated if there are any changes.
TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – Florida State softball plays host to its third and final tournament this weekend with the FSU Invitational on March 7 and 8 on JoAnne Graf Field at the Seminole Softball Complex. Appalachian State, Georgia State and Connecticut will all make the trip to Tallahassee for the two day event.
The Seminoles enter the weekend 12-9 after winning three of five at the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Ga., February 29-March 2. Florida State shutout Massachusetts, Hofstra and Iowa at the tournament, but dropped to No. 4 Tennessee and No. 2 Texas A&M.
Following the weekend, the ladies will play a doubleheader with Connecticut on Tuesday, March 11, before heading to Charlottesville, Va., to play in their second conference round with Virginia on March 14 and 15.
First pitch is set for 10:00 a.m. on Friday for the Georgia State and Connecticut game. Florida State will play Connecticut at 2:30 p.m. in its first match-up of the weekend. Due to impending weather in the Tallahassee area on Friday, the game times may be moved to accommodate all teams. Seminoles.com and 850-645-GAME will be updated as soon as any changes are made.

12:15 p.m. – Florida State vs. Georgia State
2:30 p.m. – 3 vs. 4 (higher seed will be the home team)
4:45 p.m. – 1 vs. 2 (higher seed will be the home team)
