W. Golf’s Wallin Named To ANNIKA Award Watch List

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ( – Three-time All-American Beatrice Wallin, the 2021 ACC Golfer of the Year, has been named as one of 20 golfers to the Preseason ANNIKA Award Watch List presented by Stifel.  Wallin was a finalist for the award as a junior and will be a candidate for every major award in college golf as a senior.  She enters the 2021-22 season ranked second in school history with a 71.96 career stroke average.

Wallin earned All-American and All-ACC honors and became the first Seminole to earn ACC Golfer of the Year honors in 2021.  She was named a First-Team-All-American by both the Women’s Golf Coaches Association and Golfweek.  Wallin finished her junior season with a career-low 70.72 stroke average, and two individual tournament wins (at the Florida State Match Up and the Pinetree Collegiate).

Wallin is one of five returning First-Team All-Americans (Wallin; Karen Fredgaard, Houston; Rachel Ingrid Lindblad, LSU; Emma Spitz, UCLA)  and one of three returning All-ACC players (Wallin; Gina Kim, Duke; Rachel Kuehn, Wake Forest) on the preseason ANNIKA list.

Wallin is one of the country’s most accomplished collegiate golfers as her final year of eligibility at Florida State begins September 26 at the Schooner Fall Classic.  She has already played in a U.S. Open (2020), two Augusta National Women’s Amateur (2019 and 2021), and the Arnold Palmer Cup (2021) during her amateur career.  She has also earned incredible success in Europe as a two-time member of the winning team in the European Ladies Team Championships (2018 and 2019), as a participant in the 2019 Spirit International Championships, and as a member of the championship team in the 2021 Swedish team Championships.

Wallin is on track to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities in April of 2022.  She was named to the All-ACC Academic Women’s golf team in 2019, to the ACC Academic Honor Roll 2019 and 2021, and earned Dean’s List honors at Florida State in the fall of 2020.

Wallin is currently competing as an amateur in the Skafto Open on the Ladies European Tour (LET).  Just this summer, she finished in fourth place at the 2021 European Ladies Amateur Championships in Italy and helped Sweden finish as the runner-up at the European Ladies Team Championship.
