Walter Dix Becomes Third Seminole To Earn ACC Indoor Track & Field Performer of the Week Honors This Season

Junior Walter Dix earned Co-ACC Track and Field Performer of the Week accolades this week for his national leading and automatic qualifying time of 20.73 in the 200m at the Tyson Invitational. Clemson’s Jacoby Ford shares the honor after posting an automatic qualifying mark of 6.60 in the 60m dash, the second-best in the nation.

Dix becomes the third Seminole this season to receive the title of ACC Performer of the Week. Senior Greg Bolden’s 6.14 mark in the 55m at the Florida Intercollegiate meet moved him to the top of the ACC and clinched the POW honor in week one. Junior Ricardo Chambers shared the award in week four after posting the fastest collegiate time in the 400m with a 46.23 clock at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational.
The Seminoles take the weekend off and head to Clemson, SC next week for the ACC Indoor Championships, Feb. 22-24.
