Weather Continues To Win At NCAAs

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The third round of the NCAA Championship started at 4:40 p.m. Sunday night and was stopped due to weather at 6:45 p.m. at the Prairie Dunes Country Club. This marks the fifth weather delay of the tournament with the round being suspended at 7:33 p.m. Central time. The field will begin play at 7:30 a.m. Monday morning.

The Seminoles were off to a strong start at 2-over through nine holes. Sophomore Rowin Caron is leading the Seminoles this round after starting his round with a birdie on the seventh hole. After bogeys on eight and nine, he started the back nine with a birdie on 10. His last hole of the day was 14 which he also birdied.

Sophomore Hank Lebioda and freshman Jack Maguire are both at even par having both started on the eighth hole. Lebioda bogeyed 11 and then made a 25 foot putt on 14 for a birdie. Maguire started the back nine with birdies on 10 and 12 but had back-to-back bogeys on 14 and 15 to finish the day.

Freshman Cristobal Del Solar started the round off with a pair of double bogeys on nine and 10, but rebounded with a 35 foot putt on 15 for birdie. His last hole played was 16 which he made par. Senior Joaquin Lolas is currently 4-over and will start tomorrow on the 14th hole.

The Seminoles are currently in 27th place at 29-over for the tournament.
