Florida State freshman point guard Shante Williams earned her third ACC Rookie of the Week honor after helping to guide the Seminoles to two ACC wins last week. While averaging 32.0 minutes per game, Williams averaged 11.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists while shooting 41 percent from the field in FSU’s three games. The floor leader scored 18 huge points, including 16 in the second half, to help FSU to its first win ever at Virginia.
On the year, Williams is second on the team in scoring at 10.8 ppg and tied for second on the team in rebounding at 5.4 rpg. She leads the team and is second in the ACC at 5.3 assists per game. She is leading the Tribe in ACC scoring at 13.0 points per game and in rebounding in league games at 6.1 rpg.
Overall, she has scored in double figures in 12 games and has led the Seminoles in scoring five times.
