The Florida State women’s basketball will travel to Atlanta, Ga., for a 7 p.m. contest with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Wednesday, February 19th. The Seminoles are 15-8 overall and 7-5 in league play and are in third place in the ACC standings. The Yellow Jackets are 15-9 overall and 4-8 in ACC play. The game will be broadcast locally on WFLA AM 1270 or can be heard via the Internet on seminoles.com.
Wednesday’s contest will be the 27th meeting between Florida State and Georgia Tech. The Seminoles have won six out of the last seven games with the Yellow Jackets and lead the series, 14-12. The series dates back to the 1974-75 season. Since joining the ACC in 1991-92, FSU has recorded three sweeps over Tech – in 1997-98, 1999-00 and 2000-01 – all in the Sue Semrau era.
