The Florida State women’s basketball team reconvened yesterday in Missoula, Montana in preparation for the Lady Griz Holiday Classic. The 11-0 Seminoles will face 8-3 Louisville Tuesday at 7 p.m. (EST). The Tribe will face either Maine or Montana on Wednesday.

“This tournament will be our biggest challenge yet as we will face very
strong opponents on back-to-back days,” Head Coach Sue Semrau said. “The University of Louisville is playing great basketball. They are talented and deep. Montana and Maine have solid programs who compete year in and year out in the NCAA Tournament. Montana has created an electric atmoshpere for women’s basketball. It’ll be a great event to be a part of.

The Seminoles won the San Juan Shootout with three straight victories just before Christmas.

“Coming off a three day Christmas break and playing at a high altitude does concern me somewhat,” Semrau said. “We’ll practice here today and work to get our rhythm back.”
