The Seminoles have given themselves a chance to host the NCAA First and Second Rounds after making an impressive run to the ACC Championship Game for the second time in program history. FSU padded its season-long resume by defeated No. 4 and tournament top seed Louisville, 62-60, in an ACC Semifinal thriller last Saturday. The win marked FSU’s second win over the Cardinals this year, with both being Top-5 victories.

Florida State is pegged as a No. 5 seed in the Dallas Regional according to the latest ESPNW Bracketology released Wednesday morning. The Seminoles will continue their unprecedented run of making an NCAA Tournament in 15 of the last 16 seasons. FSU also holds an impressive NCAA First Round win streak of 16 straight games dating back to 1991.

The Seminoles head into Monday’s NCAA Selection Show with a 24-8 overall record while finishing 11-7 in ACC play (conference record does not include ACC Tournament). So far this year, FSU has defeated six AP Top 25 teams, including three Top 10 teams. The six ranked wins are the second-most in program history (2016-17 team leads with nine ranked wins).

The NCAA First and Second Rounds take place beginning Friday, March 20. The corresponding rounds happen on March 20 and 22 as well as March 21 and 23.
