TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 25 Florida State women’s swimming and diving team earned the distinction of Scholar All-America from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America on Monday.
A total of 688 team from 430 institutions across NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions were recognized as having a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the 2017 fall semester.
“I am very proud of what these ladies are doing out of the pool,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “They understand what it takes to be a student-athlete at Florida State and what they need to do in order to represent the Garnet and Gold at a high level in everyday life.”
All 12 women’s swimming and diving ACC schools were recognized. FSU carried a team GPA of 3.42, which ranked sixth in the conference.
Florida State heads to the Auburn Invite, which runs from Feb. 2-4 in Auburn, Ala.
