TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The 17th ranked Florida State women’s tennis team (11-2, 3-1) continue their road stand this week as they head to Austin, Texas to take on the Longhorns on Friday, March 8th at 1 pm ET.
The Noles and Longhorns have squared off just three times, with Texas winning all three contests. The last time these two teams met was in 2008 during the Tallahassee regional final.
Texas is led by five ranked singles players and three ranked doubles pairs. No. 60 Bianca Turati is leading the Longhorns from the top of the lineup with a 4-2 record and a 3-2 record against ranked opponents this spring. On court two, 39th ranked Anna Turati is 4-2 in dual matches with a 6-4 record against ranked opponents during the 2018-19 season. The Longhorn lineup is a combined 6-14 against opponents that are currently ranked.
Last Time Out
Florida State earned their first two ACC road wins last weekend with a 5-2 win over Virginia Tech and a 4-1 win over Pittsburgh. Florida State continued to win the doubles point as they have now won 12 of 13 this season. Junior Nandini Das kept her streak up as well. She has now won 10 straight matches dating back to October of 2018.
