TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The 12th ranked Florida State women’s tennis team (17-5, 9-3) is home for the final week of the regular season as they host No. 19 Virginia (16-5, 8-4) on Thursday on the ACC Network Extra and Louisville (10-12, 2-10) on Saturday for senior day. The Seminoles will be honoring their four seniors, Julia Mikulski, Ana Oparenovic, Ariana Rahmanparast and Carla Touly.
The Noles are 25-14 all-time against Virginia, which includes wins in the last three matches. Virginia is the 12th ranked team that Florida State will take on in 2019. FSU is 7-4 so far against ranked opponents, including a 4-3 win over No. 10 NC State a week ago. The Cavilers are led by three ranked singles players and two ranked doubles teams. 24th ranked Meghan Kelley leads UVA on court one with a 13-6 record and nine wins over ranked opponents.
In doubles, the 68th ranked pairing of Chloe Gullickson and Amber ODell have led the team on court one all season. They are 7-9 in dual match play with all seven wins coming on court one.
Florida State is a perfect 7-0 all-time against Louisville. Louisville is led in singles by Raven Neely. She is 16-4 in singles with a 4-1 record on court two, a 6-2 record on court three and a 6-1 record on court four.
Last Time Out
Florida State went 1-1 last week with a 4-0 loss to No. 2 North Carolina and a 4-3 win over No. 10 NC State. Sophomore Emmanuelle Salas clinched the win over NC State on court two with a win in a tiebreaker with the match tied 3-3.
