May 25, 2006

TALLAHASSEE – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Summer College Circuit will make a stop in Tallahassee during the dates of July 10-13.  The ITA runs a circuit of events during the summer and eight different regions have a circuit of four events.  Florida State is hosting the first of four events in the Southern Region and the University of Florida, UNC-Chapel Hill and UNC-Greensboro will host the remaining three tournaments.

The purpose of the ITA Summer College Circuit is for college tennis players to have a set amount of tournaments to play during the summer.  It also allows junior players a chance to compete against college players as well.

For more information on the event, contact FSU women’s tennis head coach Jennifer Hyde at (850) 644-1092.

A list of FSU athletes participating will be made available as the event draws closer.
