Patrick Named to Doak Walker Award Watch List

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State junior running back Jacques Patrick has been named to the Doak Walker Award watch list on Thursday by the PwC SMU Athletic Forum.
The Doak Walker Award recognizes the nation’s premier running back for his accomplishments on the field and achievements in the classroom, citizenship and community.
In 2016, Patrick served as the primary backup behind Dalvin Cook, appearing in all 13 games finishing with 350 yards and four touchdowns on 61 carries (5.7 ypc). He recorded two 100-yard rushing games, including a career-best of 124 against USF where he helped the Seminoles rush for the second highest total in school history with 478 yards.
The Doak Walker Award winner will be announced at the 2017 Home Depot College Football Awards on Dec. 7, 2017. The Doak Walker Presentation Banquet will be held Feb. 16, 2018.
