Touly Falls in First Round of the ITA Fall Championship

SURPRISE, Ariz. – Florida State women’s tennis junior Carla Touly began her journey at the Oracle ITA Fall Championships today with a first-round match against seventh seed and No. 31 Meible Chi of Duke.
In the first set, Touly jumped out to a 2-1 lead. Both players held as Touly held a 3-2 lead. Chi then went on to win four straight games to take the first set 6-3.
Touly and Chi were tied 1-1 in set two before once again Chi expanded her lead to 5-2 before defeating Touly 6-3 in the second set to take the match.
Carla will begin play in the consolation bracket tomorrow.
