The 1963 baseball guide says Buddy Teagle had one of the strongest arms in college baseball. He played for FSU coach Danny Litwhiler and became the second Seminole to be named first team All-American, the first being Dick Howser. Over his career, Teagle averaged over .300 batting, played in 100 games and had eight home runs. He helped lead FSU to the NCAA Tournament all three seasons he was a Seminole. Bud's greatest memories at Florida State were the back-to-back appearances in the College World Series in 1962 and 1963. The Seminoles were 21-7 and finished ranked 17th his sophomore year, 23-14 and ranked fourth nationally following the College World Series his junior year and 27-13 and fifth nationally his senior season in 1963.
