Long-jumper/Triple-jumper/Sprinter from Belo Horizonte, Brazil...was a seven-time All-American as a freshman in 1981 and set school records in the 60m (indoor), 100m (outdoor) and the long jump...returned to Brazil with her husband when his funding for school ran out...continued her FSU career in 1984-85...in 1985 won both the indoor and outdoor NCAA triple jump titles...set the world record in the triple jump in 1985 with a jump of 44-4...helped lead the women's track team to a 1st place finish in the 1985 NCAA Indoor (she scored 16 out of the team's 36 points) and 2nd in the 1985 NCAA Outdoor Championship (21.5 out of 46), a 2nd in the 1981 AIAW Indoor (18.5 out of 46) and 3rd in the 1981 AIAW Outdoor (12.75 out of 40)...won the 100m in the 1983 Pan American Games...was on the Brazilian Olympic Team in 1976 and 1984.
