A native of England, Karen Stupples made her way to Florida State wanting to develop her talent in an established program. A two-year letterwinner, she went on to earn 2nd Team All-American from the National Golf Coaches Association in 1995 and became one of three women golfers in school history to earn 1st or 2nd team honors. Karen was named All-ACC in 1994 and 1995 as well.

Stupples biggest collegiate wins included the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational in 1994 and the Lady Gator Invitational in 1995. She finished her career with six top-10 finishes out of nine tournaments in her sophomore season and eight out of 10 as a junior. She is listed in the top 25 lists for Seasonal Average (8th-74.93 in 1995 and 19th-76.45 in 94) and Career Average (5th-75.71) in the Seminole record books.

After turning professional in 1999, Karen won the 2004 Welch's/Fry's Championship with a career-low 63 and was the British Open champion later that year. She is also a two-time member of the Solheim Cup team and continues to play on the LPGA.
