Quarterback from Fernandina Beach...three-year letterman and two-year starter...a mobile quarterback who led the Seminoles to a 10-2 record and #5 AP ranking in 1980 and was two points away from an undefeated season...led Florida State to some of their most important wins in school history: in 1980 beat #3 Nebraska 18-14 in Lincoln and #3 Pittsburgh 36-22 at home the next week, in 1981 when Florida State played five games in a row away from Doak Campbell Stadiuim, Stockstill led FSU to wins against #7 Ohio State (36-27), Notre Dame (19-13) and LSU (38-14)...completed 250 passes for 2834 yards and 26 touchdowns in his career at FSU...current head football coach of Middle Tennessee State.
