Quarterback Adrian McPherson Dismissed From Football Team

Tallahassee, Fla. — Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden announced today that starting quarterback Adrian McPherson has been removed from the football squad for a violation of team policy.
McPherson, a sophomore, played in nine games this season and started the last four. He completed 80 of 155 passes for 1,017 yards and 12 touchdowns with just one interception. He led FSU to wins over Wake Forest, Georgia Tech and North Carolina before losing at NC State on Saturday.
