The Florida State women’s basketball team will host Troy State in the Seminoles’ final game of the year 2003. The series between the Seminoles and the Trojans is tied at 1-1. The series began in 1977-78 when FSU topped Troy State 71-61. The last meeting between the two schools was in 1979-80. Troy State won 92-78.
Troy State will be Florida State’s last non-conference opponent of the regular-season. FSU open ACC play January 2nd at Georgia Tech. In fact, FSU’s first three ACC games are all on the road. Since joining the league in 1991-92, FSU has opened ACC play on the road nine out of 12 seasons but the Seminoles have never opened an ACC season with three straight road games.
The Seminoles, who are 6-4 on the year, have not played at home since Dec. 14th. FSU has played its last three games on the road and after the Troy State game, will play its next three games on the road. Tasheika Allen continues to pace the team, averaging 17.0 points per game while Genesis Choice leads the way in rebounding at 6.3 rebounds per contest.

FSU VS. THE ATLANTIC SUN Troy State is the second of two Atlantic Sun Conference opponents on FSU's schedule this season. The Seminoles defeated UCF 72-59 back on December 2nd. Florida State is 33-16 all-time vs. current Atlantic Sun teams.
HERE ON OUT Troy State will be Florida State's last nonconference opponent of the regular-season. The Seminoles open ACC play January 2nd at Georgia Tech. IT'S GOOD TO BE HOME
The Seminoles have played their last three games on the road and will play the next three games on the road after Monday's contest vs. Troy State. FSU is 2-3 on the road this season.
FIRST CAREER START
Alicia Gladden did a little bit of everything against LSU in her first career start. The rookie played a career-high 24 minutes and had career-highs in rebounds (5), assists (3) and steals (3).

Although falling by eight points to No. 17 LSU, the Seminoles outplayed the Tigers in many categories:

The Seminoles recorded a season-low 11 turnovers vs. No. 17 LSU. It was the fewest turnovers the Tribe has recorded since having 10 vs. Georgia Tech on March 8, 2003. FSU's previous low this season was 14 vs. Florida.
