It has been an ongoing tradition for the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) to show their support to our new Seminole Freshman as they go into their first week of college finals.

In doing so, the SAAC spent a majority of the first semester collecting coupons and goodies they thought would be helpful during finals week to include in the annual “Freshman Survival Kit.”

Some of the goodies included in the kit are pencils, pens, note cards, a folder, candy, popcorn, Ramen Noodles, coupons, and a special note on behalf of their SAAC. Each freshman that attended P.H.A.T. (Peers Helping Athletes Transition) Tuesday’s sessions at the beginning of the semester was able to pick up a survival kit on November 30th, at the final P.H.A.T. Tuesday of the year.

During the session freshman we able to express their thoughts and feelings to upper classmen and SAAC representatives on the areas in which they felt went well or could have been improved upon throughout the semester. This allowed them the opportunity to hear back from their peers and gain a little more insight on what tips to take away for finals week and into the Spring semester.
