Hall of Fame Class: 1984 (Football)

Bobby Renn became one of the most complete football players ever to wear the garnet and gold from 1956-58. By the time his career was over, Renn held FSU career marks in points scored, touchdowns scored, rushing yardage and punting. He not only ran and punted, he was also a brilliant defensive back, a fine pass receiver, and filled in at quarterback in 1957. He gained 150 yards rushing in one game and gained 1,468 yards rushing in his career. He remains one of the most powerful and accurate punters in FSU annals. Renn is perhaps best remembered for returning the opening kickoff in the FSU-Florida series 75 yards to the Gator 15, setting up a quick Seminole TD. He was co-captain of that fine 1958 squad.
