In the late fifties, Bucky Hiles came from Atlanta to star for legendary Coach Bim Stults’ Seminole swimming team. Hiles was the first Seminole swimmer to earn All-America status in two different strokes. At one time, he held school records in seven different events. He was chosen the university’s Athlete of the Year in 1961.
