Hall of Fame Class: 1988 (Women's Golf)

Jane Geddes was one of four FSU players to birdie the 17th hole at the 1981 AIAW National Championships to preserve the national title for the Lady Seminoles. The FSU team had already won a school record five tournaments that season, and the young Geddes was a mainstay in the lineup. Following her successful FSU career, she worked for several years to make a niche for herself on the LPGA Tour and won her first event in 1986 at the Tour’s biggest event – The US Open. To prove the victory was no fluke, Geddes returned the following year to win five tournament championships and finish in third place on the LPGA money list. Her LPGA career extended well into the 2000’s with over 12 victories.
