Hall of Fame Class: 1991 (Men's Track and Field)

Longtime Physical Education professor Ken Miller coached Florida State’s first men’s track and field team and later served as the women’s track coach. From 1949-77, Miller touched every aspect of the athletic department, serving as professor, coach, and acting athletic director. He served as chairman of the Physical Education department for thirteen of his twenty eight years at FSU. Additionally, Miller coached the men’s team from 1949-54. He coached the women’s track and field team from 1971-74. In addition to his professorial and coaching duties, Miller served the university as acting athletic director in 1957.
