Hall of Fame Class: 1991 (Men's Basketball)
Nicknamed “Tree” by his teammates, 6-10 Reggie Royals was one of Florida State basketball’s most proficient players. His play was vital to Florida State’s most successful basketball season ever – – a season that led to the NCAA national championship game in 1972. His name dotted the record book in almost every category. For his career, Royal had 1,006 rebounds which placed him in the number two spot all-time. Additionally, Royals was tenth place in scoring with 1,402 career points. Royal also made the top ten list for career field goals made with 580. In the single season category, Royals is a member of the esteemed 500 point club, as he scored more than 500 points in his 1971-72 season.
