Hall of Fame Class: 1982 (Baseball)
Swinging his big bat or crouched behind the plate, Terry Kennedy gave Florida State his best – and his best was awesome. Playing from 1975 to 1977, he drove in 122 runs and clouted 32 homers. His 64 RBI and 21 home runs in 1976 were school records. His incredible slugging average of .810 in 1976 is still a school mark. He was a first team Sporting News All-American in 1976 and 1977 and was named college baseball’s most valuable player in 1977. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals where he played for four years until being traded to San Diego where he was named to the National League All-Star Team in 1981.
