         Tallahassee, Fla. -- Florida State's No. 18 women's basketball team looked every bit their ranking in its first outing of the season beating visiting Flagler 124-50 in an exhibition game in the Tucker Center on Thursday night. The Seminoles combined their trademark fast-paced offensive style with stifling defense in the win.

All-American Ta'Niya Latson led all scorers with 35 points on 12-of-21 shooting from the floor, 3-of-4 from three-point range and hitting 8-of-11 free throws.

O'Mariah Gordon scored 22 points, Makayla Timpson 15, Amaya Bonner 14 and Sara Bejedi and Alexis Tucker 12 and 10, respectively to lead the Seminole double-figure scoring.

Timpson grabbed 18 rebounds to lead a defensive effort that held Flagler to 25.3% shooting (19-of-75) and forced 24 turnovers.

FSU raced to a 33-4 lead in the first quarter with Latson pouring in 14 points points. She was 5-of-7 from the floor, 3-of-3 from the line and hit her only three-point attempt.Â

Alexis Tucker and O'Mariah Gordon each scored five and Makayla Timpson led all rebounders with five.

The Seminoles outscored Flagler 35-21 in the second quarter to take a 68-25 lead into halftime.

Latson scored seven in the second quarter and her 21 points led the Noles at the half.  Gordan had 13 and Amaya Bonner scored nine of her first half 11 points in the second quarter.

The Seminoles outrebounded Flagler 30-16 in the first half with Timpson's eight leading all players.Â

The Seminoles shot 50.0% from the field hitting 24-of-48 and 53.3% from beyond the arc nailing 8-of-15. FSU was 12-of-17 from the free throw line for 70.6%.

Flagler hit just 31.3% of its field goals (10-of-32) and was 3-of-10 from three-point range.

Florida State substituted liberally beginning in the second quarter and outscored Flagler 35-12 in the third quarter with Latson leading all scorers with 30 after three quarters and Gordon recording 20.
