TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State Women's Golf team, which opens its season Monday at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate (Sept. 11-13) at the Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minn., is ranked No. 10 nationally in the 2023-24 Preseason Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll. The Seminoles are one of two ACC teams ranked in the preseason Top-10, and one of four ACC teams in the preseason top-25.
Under Head Coach Amy Bond, the Seminoles finished in a tie for fifth place at the 2023 NCAA Championship Finals and is the winningest coach in the history of the Florida State women's golf program. She has led the Seminoles to the NCAA Championship in 12 of her 13 seasons (the NCAA did not conduct a championship in 2020) as the Seminoles' Head Coach. Bond has led the Seminoles to two NCAA regional championships and to top five team finishes in each of Florida State's last seven regional championship appearances.
Florida State is among the most experienced and talented teams in the nation entering the 2023-24 fall and spring seasons. The Seminoles are led by a pair of returning All-Americans – Charlotte Heath and Lottie Woad. Both Heath and Woad earned All-American First-Team honors by the WGCA last season and are projected to be two of the nation's top golfers this season. Heath earned the best single season scoring average in school history (70.56) in school history in 2023. In 11 tournaments and 32 rounds played, she totaled 24 scores at par or better, carded a 66 as her low round, won her first career event and earned eight top-10 individual finishes.
