TALLAHASSEE
–  The Florida State women's basketball team (10-2, 1-0 ACC) dominated from start to finish in a 101-51 win over the Drexel Dragons (3-4, 0-0 CAA) on Sunday afternoon at the Donald L. Tucker Center.

Ta'Niya Latson was unstoppable once again as she recorded her third consecutive 30-point game with 32 points on 13-of-20 shooting. Latson now ranks fourth in program history in career points with 1,682, passing Tia Paschal who scored 1,660 (1990-93).

The Noles had great contributions from Syndey Bowles who tallied 14 points including 4-of-6 from three-point land. O'Mariah Gordon added 12 points while Makayla Timpson picked up her sixth double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Timpson has 37 career double-doubles, just four away from tying the program record set by Natasha Howard at 41.

The Seminoles jumped all over the Dragons from the tip thanks to some suffocating defense and some hot shooting to give the Noles an 18-6 lead at the first media timeout. FSU held a 32-19 lead after the first quarter led by 16 first quarter points from Latson. The Noles shot 71 percent from the field and also recorded six steals in the opening frame.

The Noles took over the game in the second quarter, allowing the Drexel to score just six points in the frame. FSU's offense stayed hot to give the Noles a 52-25 lead at the halfway point.

FSU kept the foot on the gas in the second half as they outscored the Dragons 49-26 for the 50-point victory. Sunday was FSU's fifth win of 40 or more points this season.

The Noles were phenomenal defensively with 16 steals - its second-highest mark of the season. They held the Dragons to just 33 percent (20-of-60) shooting and 22 percent (4-of-18) shooting from three. The Noles shot 57 percent (41-of-71) from the floor including 50 percent (11-of-22) from three.

The Noles will host in-state foe Jacksonville on Thursday for Holiday Hoops at 6 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
