TALLAHASSEE –  Florida State junior guard Ta'Niya Latson was named the ACC Player of the Week on Monday by the league's Blue Ribbon Panel.

Latson averaged 38.5 points per game in two games played, scoring 77 points. She also added 11 rebounds, two blocks and six steals.  Her back-to-back performances are the most points scored by a Seminole in consecutive games.

Latson posted back-to-back career highs in scoring last week, leading the Noles at Tennessee with 38 points on Wednesday.  She made a career-high 15 field goals, tying most in the nation this season.  Her performance also tied the third-best scoring total in program history.

The Miami, native followed that performance by scoring 39 points on Sunday in the 93-85 victory over SMU. Latson tied the second-highest single-game point total in program history set by Roneeka Hodges in 2005 at Maryland.  Latson owns eight of the top 20 scoring performances in FSU history.

As the nation's leading scorer (28.6 points per game), Latson has the third and fourth highest single-game totals this season in the country. She is the only player among the Power 4 to register multiple games scoring at least 38 points.

Latson has scored at least 30 points in 18 career games, including four this season.

Florida State, who is second in the nation in scoring with 94.2 points per game, is the only team to produce two different 38-point single game scorers this season behind Latson and Makayla Timpson.

Latson wins the ACC Player of the Week for the second time this season. It is the 16th weekly honor of her career.

Florida State will host Drexel on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. on the ACC Network Extra.
