TALLAHASSEE – The No.16/RV Florida State swimming and diving teams were named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Fall 2023 Scholar All-America Team on Monday.
In order to qualify for this honor, teams had to exhibit grade point averages above 3.0 for the semester. The CSCAA recognized 783 and 461 institutions across all NCAA divisions, NAIA and NJCAA.
The women's team turned in a 3.51 team GPA, while the 16th-ranked men scored 3.08. The women have qualified every semester since the spring of 2015 and have scored above 3.50 four times. The men have held the standard since the spring of 2018.
"This award is something we take a lot of pride in," FSU head coach Neal Studd said. "We set our academic standards high, and our student-athletes work very hard in the classroom to achieve that success. I am very proud of our team and the effort they put in this past semester."
The Seminoles will head to the Auburn First Chance Invite that will run from Feb. 9-10 at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center.
