Noles Set for Auburn First Chance

TALLAHASSEE – The No.16/RV Florida State swimming and diving teams will begin the postseason by competing at the Auburn First Chance Invitational at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center from Feb.9-10.
In addition to No.10/15 Auburn and FSU, No. 19/17 Alabama, No. 24/NR Georgia Tech, and NCAA Division III No.2/3 Emory will be competing. All swims will be timed finals.
"We're excited to get the postseason going," FSU head coach Neal Studd said. "We really liked the progress we saw in January and we're aiming to get some NCAA qualifying times and personal bests this weekend."
The morning session on Friday will start at 10 a.m. featuring the 200 free relay, 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free and 400 medley relay. At 5:30 p.m., the Noles will compete in the 200 medley relay, 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back and the 800 free relay.
Saturday morning will begin at 10 a.m. with the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly and 400 free relay. The 1650 free will close out the meet, starting at 11:15 a.m.
Live timing will be available through the meet mobile app.
The Seminoles will compete against the Tigers and Yellow Jackets in diving. Both 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events will be held on Friday at 12 p.m. Platform will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Live results will be available on divemeets.com.
CSCAA February Poll
The 16th-ranked men's team held its position for the third consecutive College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America poll that was announced on Thursday. The women's team also received votes for the second straight poll.
This is the highest the men's team has been ranked over the stretch of three polls since the 2020-21 season, when the Noles were ranked between No. 15 and No. 16 over five polls.
