Track and Field Heads to Raleigh, Gainesville

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State outdoor track and field teams will split up between two meets, starting on Thursday. 

The Noles will compete in the distance events at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, North Carolina. The men's 5,000-meter is expected to start at 6:33 p.m. on Thursday. Live results will be available. 

The sprints, jumps and throws group will compete at the Floriday Relays in Gainesville, Florida. The men's and women's long jump will start at 9.a.m on Friday. Live results will be available. 

 LAST TIME OUT: 

The men accumulated a total of four ACC and regional qualifiers, while the women rallied seven ACC qualifiers and two regional qualifying performances at the FSU Relays. 

Kaniyah Johnson, Alexandra Webster and Suus Altof brought home wins for the women, while Lucas Bouquot, Andre Korbmacher, Zach Trotter and Neo Mosebi added victories for the men.  

Korbmacher took home the ACC Men's Rookie of the Week honors after opening his season by winning the men's 110 hurdles (13.56), moving up to fifth all-time in FSU history. His time currently ranks first in the ACC and third in the nation.  

Mosebi claimed his first outdoor win in the 100, qualifying for postseason action with a time of 10.28. 

Kyvon Tatham placed third in the triple jump, earning a new career best of (15.44m) qualifying for the NCAA Regional Championship. LaQuan Ellis followed Tatham, establishing a qualifying mark of 15.09m. 

For the women, Tyra Wilson was named the ACC Women's Performer of the Week after placing second in the 400 hurdles, earning a spot at the ACC and NCAA Regional Championship with a time of 57.53. Ava Klein followed Wilson in fourth, establishing an ACC qualifying time of 59.16. 

Johnson ran a lifetime best in the 100 at 11.43, qualifying for the postseason. Liana Tyson followed Johnson in second, punching her ticket to the ACC Championship with a time of 11.57. 

Webster won the women's 100-meter hurdles, earning a spot at the ACC Championship with a time of 13.56 and Altorf won the 800, establishing an ACC qualifying time of 2:06.73. 

 Tori Caroll placed fifth in the long jump, with an ACC qualifying mark of 5.97m.
