Florida State Selected To Pepperdine Regional For 2025 ITA Kickoff Weekend

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women's tennis team has been selected as the No. 2 seed in the Pepperdine Region for the 2024 ITA Kickoff Weekend.
Florida State will face No. 3 seed Georgia Tech in the opening round on January 24th, 2025. The winner will face either No. 1 seed Pepperdine or No. 4 seed Arizona in the single-elimination event.
The 16th annual ITA Kickoff Weekend takes place at 14 host sites across the nation. The winner of each region secures a spot in the 2025 ITA Division I National Team Indoor Championships.
Last year, the Seminoles defeated SMU 4-2 and faced host and No. 10-ranked Texas in the 2024 ITA Weekend Kickoff.
Florida State finished the 2024 season with 17 wins, which included three top-25 victories and a final ranking of No. 22 in the national team rankings.
Georgia Tech had a 14-10 record in the 2024 season and finished No. 25 in the final ITA rankings. The Seminoles defeated the Yellow Jackets 6-1 in the 2024 regular season.
Pepperdine earned 21 wins and the West Coast Conference championship in the 2024 season. The Waves were ranked No. 6 in the final rankings and made it to the semifinals in the NCAA Tournament.
Arizona accumulated 17 wins in the 2024 season and had a final ranking of No. 39.
