Varjasi Wins Bronze at European Championships

TALLAHASSEE – Eight swimmers with ties to the Florida State swimming and diving team competed at the 2024 LEN European Championships that ran from June 17-23 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Peter Varjasi was a part of the bronze medal-winning mixed 4x100-meter free relay with a time of 3:27.01. Varjasi split 48.26 going second to help the Germans secure third place.
Varjasi also competed in the semifinals of the 100 free where he placed 11th at 48.83.
Yordan Yanchev swam his best time in the 200 free leading off the 4x200 free relay, touching at 1:49.03 to help Bulgaria place eighth in the race.
Jokubas Keblys swam his best time in the 50 free, touching at 22.17 in a swim-off, placing 17th.
Edith Jernstedt also competed in the semifinal of the women's 100 fly, where she placed 16th at 59.78.
