Tatham Advances to Finals at U.S. Olympic Trials

EUGENE, Ore. –Florida State jumper Kyvon Tatham advanced to the final of the men's triple jump at the U.S. Olympic Trials with his performance Friday at Hayward Field. 

  

Needing a huge jump heading into his last attempt, Tatham took the last qualifying spot in 12th with a mark of 15.87m (52-0 ¾) to qualify for Sunday's final. 

  

Seeded 13th with a time of 12.70, Alexandra Webster finished third in her heat of the 100-meter hurdles. Webster clocked a time of 12.83 in round one with the 12th-fastest overall time, advancing to Saturday's semifinal which is set for 8:04 p.m. ET. 

  

FSU alum Trey Cunningham concluded his stint at the Olympic Trials in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.39. 

  

Former Noles, Kasey Knevelbaard and Ahmed Muhumed competed in the men's 5,000, advancing to Sunday's final. Knevelbaard crossed the finish line in seventh place with a time of 13:25.13. Muhumed followed in eighth at 13:25.78
