Noles to Host SMU to Open ACC Play on Dec. 8

TALLAHASSEE – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the opening games of league play on Monday. The Florida State women's basketball team will welcome SMU to the league on Dec. 8 at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
This will be the first-ever meeting between the Seminoles and Mustangs.
FSU was also the first ACC opponent for Pittsburgh in January of 2014 and Miami in 2005. The Seminoles were victorious in both contests.
Previously announced, FSU will face Tennessee on Dec.4 at the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee. The game will tip off at 7:15 p.m. on the SEC Network as a part of the SEC/ACC Challenge.
The remainder of the 2024-25 season schedule will be revealed on Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the ACC Network.
FSU has finalized its 12-player roster for the 2024-25 season, which includes the return of high-scoring trio Ta'Niya Latson, Makayla Timpson and O'Mariah Gordon. The Seminoles are slated to bring back 75 percent of their scoring production from a year ago as well as 82 percent of their rebounds.
The Seminoles will host Tampa on Oct. 23 in an exhibition.
