Noles Down Tampa in Final Exhibition Game

TALLAHASSEE - The Florida State women's basketball team defeated Tampa in an exhibition game at The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center on Tuesday, 84-63.
The Seminoles had three players score double figures, led by Pania Davis who contributed 17 points, shooting 7-of-10 from the floor. Davis also led the team in blocks with three.
Sydney Bowles added 12 points, and Sole Williams had 10 points and two steals. Allie Kubek grabbed 10 rebounds, and Avery Treadwell grabbed nine rebounds and scored nine points.
As a team, the Seminoles forced 16 turnovers that lead to 26 points.
In the first quarter, the Seminoles took a 6-0 run into the media timeout and finished the quarter with a 10-point lead, 22-12. The Seminoles went into the locker room up 43-28 at the break.
In the second half, Tampa made a run, but Davis scored 11 of FSU's 24 points in the third quarter to pull ahead 67-48.
FSU closed the game on an 11-0 run in the fourth, adding 41 points in the second half, defeating Tampa, 84-63.
Florida State will host FAMU on Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.
