TALLAHASSEE – Florida State beach volleyball coach Brooke Niles announced the signing of three players Wednesday. FSU's class of 2026 features Addison and Avery Junk from Redondo Beach, California and Brynn Hughbanks from Chelan, Washington.

The Junk twins hail from the state of California, where both competed for Redondo Union High School in both indoor and beach volleyball. The duo helped capture the program's first CIF-Southern Section pairs championship title last May after contributing to the Sea Hawks Division 1 Championship win in March. The Junks also earned silver at the FIVB Beach Volleyball Under 18 World Championship, where FSU redshirt Myriah Massey won gold last year.

Head Coach Brooke Niles: "We are so excited to bring Avery and Addison Junk to our beach team. Their outstanding work ethic, athletic ability, and competitive drive make them exceptional additions who will strengthen our program and inspire their teammates."

Hughbanks, Florida State's first recruit from the state of Washington, was named CTL Volleyball Player of the Year for her performance with the Chelan High School indoor team. Hughbanks competes with KBeach VBC and took home first place with FSU freshman Lennox Langham at the p1440 U18 Gold National Championships in June. She also earned two bronze medals, one at the AAU U18 Gold with future teammate Addison Junk and the other at AVP U18 Gold.

Head Coach Brooke Niles: "We are also so proud to have Brynn Hughbanks join our team. She is a remarkable all-around athlete who excels in multiple sports. Her competitive spirit, leadership, and team first attitude make her an outstanding addition to our program."

Florida State opens the 2026 season hosting the Unconquered Invitational on February 20.
