TALLAHASSEE – Florida State guard Ta'Niya Latson was one of the Top 10 candidates for the 2025 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association on Tuesday.

The Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, in its eighth year, honors the top shooting guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball. It is named after the Class of 1993 Hall of Famer, the first player, regardless of gender, to be chosen for an All-America Team in four consecutive college seasons.

Since November, Latson has established herself as the nation's leading scorer at 26.1 points per game. This season, Latson has scored at least 20 points in 19 games played.  The Miami native has seven games this season scoring above 30 points, including a career-high 40 against Virginia Tech that matched Natasha Howard's program record.

This season, Latson is shooting 48 percent from the floor, while averaging 4.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.4 steals per game.

For her career, the Miami native has 1,913 points in 85 career starts, averaging 22,5 points per game. She is looking to become the second Seminole in program history to reach 2,000 career points.

Latson was also one of the 25 players named to the midseason Wooden Watch List on January 7 and the USBWA National Player of the Year Watch List on Monday.

Starting on February 7, fans can vote on hopphallawards.com, and the fan vote will count as one committee vote during the finalist selection process.

The final five candidates will be released to the public on March 4, with voting set to follow on March 8.

The Seminoles (18-4, 8-2 ACC) defeated Wake Forest, 97-68, on Sunday and will travel to Charlottesville to face Virginia (12-11, 4-7 ACC) at 7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra on Thursday.
