TALLAHASSEE - Florida State forward Makayla Timpson was named ACC Player of the Week for the second time this season by the league's Blue Ribbon Panel on Monday.
Against a pair of ranked opponents, Timpson averaged 23.0 points and 12.5 rebounds last week, helping the Noles secure the No. 4 seed in the 2025 Ally ACC Tournament, and move up in the latest Associated Press Poll to No. 22.
Timpson gave two 20-point performances, putting up an impressive 22 points and 17 rebounds in the upset against No. 3 Notre Dame at the Purcell Pavilion, 86-81. It was the third ranked victory for the Noles this season and the first time in program history defeating ranked opponents on the road in back-to-back games.
Timpson secured her 15th double-double of the season and 46th of her career. She is currently ranked second in the ACC for double-doubles and extended her FSU double-doubles record.
The Edison, Georgia native, now holds the FSU record for rebounds (1,066) after passing Natsha Howard (1,046) in the game against the Irish.
Against No.16 Duke, Timpson led the Noles with 25 points and eight rebounds.
In the regular season Timpson averaged 17.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per game while shooting 55 percent.
The Seminoles will play on Friday on ESPN2 at 11 a.m.
