Kleinman and Crowell Record Top 10 Performances at ACC Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Florida State track and field teams concluded day one of the 2025 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in North Carolina at the Kenter Stadium highlighted by Austin Kleinman and Cooper Crowell.
Kleinman started off the competition in the men's hammer throw, concluding his final collegiate season with a 10th place finish for a personal best and fifth-farthest throw in FSU history at 60.68m (199-1). Crowell followed in 17th, marking a lifetime best and 10th-farthest throw in program history at 57.96m (190-2).
On Thursday, the Seminoles had four athletes advance to Saturday's final out of prelims, by finishing in the top nine of their respective events.
Tyra Wilson won her heat in the women's 400-meter hurdles at 55.73, collecting her third ACC final appearance of her career. Shenese Walker placed fifth in the women's 200 with a time of 23.38, marking her third ACC final appearance.
Amare Williams led the men's sprints, placing eighth with a personal best of 21.04. Suus Altorf finished eighth in the women's 1,500 at 4:17.87.
Zach Leachman grabbed two points for the men's team by placing seventh in the 10,000-meters at 29:10.02.
Competition on Friday starts with the women's long jump at 3 p.m. All sessions will air on the ACC Network Extra and live timing will be available on flash results.
