Seminoles’ Ting Wins Championship Of TSM Challenge

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Florida State All-American Mirabel Ting carded scores of 70-68-71 for a three round total of 209 to claim her second consecutive championship of the TSM Golf Challenge at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club on June 19.  In winning the championship, she became the first player since 2012 to successfully defend the girls' title at the TSM Golf Challenge.

Ting finished 12 strokes ahead of the second placed finisher.

"I wasn't playing my best golf this week," said Ting as she accepted the championship trophy. "Overall, I think I did okay, but there's still a lot to work on. I made quite a few mistakes out there, but it's still alright. I was just trying to go out there, have fun, do what I can on the course, and just be myself."

Ting was the nation's top collegiate golfer during the 2024-25 season as she won the ANNIKA Award, was named the winner of the WGCA Division I Ping Player of the Year award and named the National Golfer of the year as selected by Golfweek.  She was also named the ACC Golfer of the Year in 2025.  Ting earned First-Team All-American honors as selected by the WGCA and Golfweek in 2025 and finished as the runner-up at the 2025 NCAA Championship Finals with a school record total of 10-under par score of 278.

Ting is currently the No. 2 ranked amateur golfer in the world according to the World Amateur Golf Rankings and the finished the 2024-25 collegiate season as the No. 1 golfer in the NCAA as ranked by Scoreboard by Clippd.
