2026 Florida State Football Schedule Announced

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State's 2026 football schedule was revealed Monday night and features a Labor Day game against SMU at Doak Campbell Stadium and three Friday games, including the season finale against Florida.
After opening the season on August 29 in Week 0 against New Mexico State, the Seminoles will open ACC play vs. SMU on Labor Day night, Florida State's ninth game on Labor Day since 2005. FSU and New Mexico State are meeting on the gridiron for the first time, and the Labor Day night matchup will be SMU's first visit to Tallahassee.
Following their first open weekend on September 12, the Seminoles will travel to Alabama to face the Crimson Tide. Florida State beat No. 8 Alabama 31-17 in the 2025 season opener and is making its first trip to Tuscaloosa since 1974. FSU closes the month against Central Arkansas on September 26, the first matchup in series history.
October begins with a home game against Virginia on October 3, as the Cavaliers visit Tallahassee for the first time since 2014. Florida State is 15-5 all-time against the Cavaliers, including a 9-1 advantage in Doak Campbell Stadium. The Seminoles play back-to-back road games at Louisville on Friday, October 9, before traveling to Miami on October 17. FSU is 18-6 all-time against the Cardinals, including a win in the 2023 ACC Championship Game, and holds a 21-19 record on the road against the Hurricanes.
After the second open weekend on October 24, the Seminoles host Clemson on October 31. Florida State has a four-game lead in the all-time series, including a 12-7 advantage at home.
FSU closes its road schedule at Boston College on November 7 and at Pitt on Friday, November 13. The Noles are 9-3 at Alumni Stadium against the Eagles and have won both games at Pittsburgh since the Panthers joined the ACC in 2013.
Florida State wraps its ACC schedule in a home game against NC State on November 21 before the regular-season finale against Florida on Friday, November 27. FSU is 27-17 all-time against the Wolfpack, with a 16-6 advantage at Doak Campbell Stadium. The Seminoles are 2-0 all-time against the Gators on Friday, with wins in 1979 and 2022.
The ACC Championship Game at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte will be held December 5 at noon.
Florida State will play three Friday games for the first time since 1955 and play four non-Saturday games in the regular season for the first time in program history.
