TALLAHASSEE – Florida State wide receiver Duce Robinson was named a first-team Academic All-American Tuesday by the College Sports Communicators. The Phoenix native is the ninth first-team Academic All-American at Florida State and first since 2012.
Robinson has a career 3.82 GPA and is earning his social science degree at Florida State. The Academic All-America program began in 1952 and is comprised of student-athletes who perform at an elite level on the field and in the classroom.
A first-team All-ACC selection and Biletnikoff Award semifinalist after catching 56 passes for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns in 2025, Robinson became Florida State's first 1,000-yard receiver since 2019 and produced the 14th 1,000-yard season in program history.
Robinson ranked ninth nationally after the regular season in receiving yards, and his five 120-yard games were the most among P4 receivers, second nationally and the most at FSU since 2014. Robinson averaged 19.30 yards per reception, second in the ACC behind only teammate Micahi Danzy.
Robinson averaged 102.8 receiving yards over eight ACC games in 2025, best in the league and 12 yards better than the next-best receiver. In the regular season, Robinson led the conference with 17 20-yard catches, 12 30-yard receptions and six 40-yard grabs.
Robinson is the ninth Seminole to earn first-team Academic All-America honors, joining kicker Dustin Hopkins (2012), safety Chris Hope (2000 and 2001), linebacker Daryl Bush (1996 and 1997), linebacker Derrick Brooks (1994 and inducted into the CSC Hall of Fame in 2014), punter Rohn Stark (1981), defensive back Keith Jones (1979 and 1980), wide receiver Phil Williams (1979) and quarterback Gary Huff (1972).
